Environmental Pigments for Snow and Ice.

We produce a range of water based pigments which can be used to enhance you winter modelling and our Snow and Ice products. They are available in 5ml applicator bottles which are perfect for the
Dark Brown earth and clay.
Crimson Blood
Pale Yellow Urine, Oil stains.
Yellow Clay.
Red Earth and Clay
Dark Black Oil, Soot, Coal, Dirty piled Snow.
Blue. Anti-Freeze and coolant, markings for downhill ski slopes.
The colours are designed to be watered down with ordinary tap water and then placed onto our snow effects when they are still wet after being glued with a water based adhesive. However, they will work with either the Insta-Sno, or our regular snow powders when they have dried providing that they were created using water based adhesives.
Of course, these pigments work well with our range of Insta-Sno, water based instant snow pastes too.
All it takes is a small application of the thinned pigments into the snow and you will see it spread out realisticly. It will be absorbed by the snow but the center will leave a concentrated amount. It is a good idea to experiment first with the watering down of the pigment and the amount you use.
The pigments can be applied using an airbrush and by using very fine tools and brushes to create pin-point effects.
As with all of our water soluble products, thay can be made permanent by oversprayiong and drenching with a crystal clear acrylic matte lacquer.
